We are a family run business that started on Barnsley Market in the 70’s. Our original stock while on the market included makeup, wigs, hair pieces and all things beauty! However overtime we have refined our products so that we are solely hair focused which means we can offer the best products and services to our clients.

Our Market stall was called 'Sally's Glitz & Glam' then as we moved into our own shop we shortened it to just 'Glitz & Glam'. However we decided to name our website 'Sally's Wigs' as a reminder of where we started!

In the past we have had the opportunity to work with some amazing shows when it comes to hair such as Coronation Street, Dancing on Ice, T.O.W.I.E and Geordie Shore.

Moving into our own shop, on the Victorian Arcade in Barnsley, has helped women with hair loss feel so much more confident in visiting us as we can now offer private rooms. Helping women through hair loss is close to our heart which is why we have tried and tested different methods so that hopefully we have something for everyone. Over the years we have seen so many different circumstances which is why we hope people feel comfortable when they come to see us… we have seen pretty much everything when it comes to hair so don’t worry!
