Synthetic Hair
How To Care For Your Wig/Hairpiece
To brush your hairpiece use a rubber based hairbrush and brush your piece carefully from the bottom working your way up.
You do need to brush your piece. As with all synthetic pieces it will rub (especially if it is a long one), this is because the hairpiece is synthetic and motion against clothes causes fibre to rub.
To condition your piece fibre oil spray is advised. This is specifically for synthetic fibre and can be used every day. Spray directly onto your dry hairpiece and brush from the bottom working your way up.
If you have purchased a curly piece you may brush it all out if you are going to wash it (the curl will spring back as it dries). If you are not going to wash it, only brush the piece in small sections at a time and brush each small section around your finger to hold the curl in.
If you have purchased a long wavy piece you will need to brush it frequently!

Fill your sink with tepid water and mix in a small amount of wig shampoo.
Dip your piece in and out of the water. Do Not rub your piece!
Now rinse the piece in cool water.
Next mix a generous amount of wig conditioner into tepid water and dip your piece in and out.

Hang your piece up and let it dry. The style will spring back into shape as it is drying.
Human Hair
To keep your hair extensions in the best possible condition you need to look after them. All you need to know is a few basic care instructions
Pre-Washing Instructions
Before the shampooing process takes place it is imperative to remove any tangles present, with extreme care utilizing a wide tooth comb. If the hair is excessively tangled, spray on detangler/conditioner. Do not use force or much like your own hair you will experience breakage.
You can also do a cool water rinse to seal the cuticle to make you hair shiny.
Washing Your Clip-In Extensions
Carefully rinse hair extensions with luke warm water separately. Place a small amount of shampoo specifically formulated for chemically treated hair in the palm of your hand. The shampoo should be applied to the hair in a downward motion from the top of the extension to the ends. Under no circumstances should you twist, rub or scrub the hair to prevent damaging the extensions. Gently lather shampoo until hair is visibly clean, then rinse the hair thoroughly under luke warm water until all shampoo has been completely removed. Be thorough in the rinsing as improper rinsing may result in damage of the hair.
Conditioning Your Extensions
It is imperative to condition your 100% human hair extensions, much like your own hair to maintain softness and shine. Again a small amount of conditioner should be applied using a downward motion, refraining from twisting, rubbing or scrubbing the hair. We would recommend you to leave the conditioner in for up to 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with luke warm water. Gently blot hair with towel to remove excess water. After rinsing and towel blotting (drying) the hair, it is advisable to spray the hair with a leave in conditioner before attempting to remove any possible tangles with a wide tooth comb. Starting at the ends of the hair, comb the hair carefully to remove any existing tangles. Move in a downward motion away from the clips towards the ends. Continue this method until all the hair is tangle free. You will want to create the least amount of tension that may result in hair breakage or pulling from the weft.
Blow dryers, Curling irons and other thermal tools may be used on low settings.
Try to avoid constant use of heated tool. Heat is hairs enemy. Glitz and Glam will not be held responsible for any hair that has been heat damaged by the customer.
Always use a protective heat serum or spray to protect the hair from heat damage.
Don't wash/style hair with products that have a high alcohol level in them. This can dry out hair.
At bedtime braid hair into two side braids to prevent tangling and matting at the root area.
Hot rollers are a great alternative to achieve a more voluptuous curl.
It is important to remember our clip in hair extensions are made of 100% Remi-grade hair and excessive use of heated appliances may result in damage to the hair, just like it would on your own.
